Flat ceramic ornament decorated to resemble a sea urchin shell. Designs are hand-carved into the surface and then each dot is hand-applied with a technique called slip-trailing (similar to decorating a cake with icing and a piping bag). Aqua glaze reminiscent of Caribbean waters. Glazed with an aqua-colored celadon (clear, glassy glaze). The Beach Baby logo is hand-carved into the unglazed back side of the piece which has been sanded until silky-smooth. The logo is then stained with a teal color to make it stand out. This ornament is hung on smooth hemp cord which hangs about 2 inches from the top of the ornament. A serene decoration for the holidays or every day.
