Beautiful ceramic votive that resembles a sea urchin shell. Can also be used as an air plant holder – or any other purpose you can dream up! Fits a tea light candle (candle not included). Carved holes allow candlelight to escape, projecting a subtle pattern onto nearby surfaces. Maker’s mark (Beach Baby logo) stamped into the base of each piece.
Coated in a glossy, opaque black glaze with a dynamic teal-turquoise color "dripping" from the top edge - reminiscent of bioluminescence glowing in dark water.
Form made by throwing clay on the pottery wheel then hand-decorated with carving and slip-trailing (a technique similar to applying frosting with a piping bag, except it’s clay and a squeeze bottle). This means each and every dot is hand-applied.
